The secret to modern men’s fashion is quality basics that can be layered! It is that simple.
The goal is to have a closet of staples that you know will be a put-together look. I love being able to not think very hard about what I’m wearing because all these options can be put together without second thought.
The Levi 511s have been my daily driver jeans for the last 5 years. They hold up well, and are generally consistent in sizing from wash to wash. I love knowing what I’m getting when I order a new pair. I like that they are on the looser side of slim fit. They give plenty of room in the calf to give a well fit but not skinny jean look.

I have had 2 pairs of these amazon essential jeans for the last 6 months and have worn them regularly. They have held up really well! They are also $26! I got these on a gamble because I have seen some reviews where stitching has given out but I have not experienced this after heavy use keeping up with a toddler! A good buy for the money if you want to venture into some new colors of jeans without a substantial budget hit.

These joggers from amazon are amazing! They are super comfortable and have a more premium look. They look like Lulu with the price of amazon. They are versatile and can be dressed up or down when comfort is needed. These are a go to on lazy Saturday mornings when running out to do a few errands.

Leather top shoes are the cheatcode to a clean look. They also stay looking fresh way longer than canvas shoes. I have almost worn mine consistently for 2 years and have only had to wipe them down to make them look clean. Nike has different color options for the swoosh. I wear the desert orange ones be cause it flows with my general earth tone color palette.
adidas sambas
Another leather top shoe that is growing in popularity is the sambas from Adidas. I’ll admit these needed to grow on me and I’m glad they did. They are a regular part of the rotation. I pair these most often with light wash jeans and a solid black shirt.
ariat chelsea boots
Western chelsea boots are a go-to for me because I like having a more slim fit leg in my jean so having a chelsea western boot allows me to have the western boots without the boot cut jeans needed to wear them. They also tend to be more comfortable for a day out.

If you aren’t into an oversize fit, these fitted shirts from INTO THE AM make you look jacked! People love these shirts and they are really comfy.
I like the classic Carhartt K87 pocket shirt. They are solid built shirts that come in lots of good colors and look good by themselves. I Like how it’s oversize and hides my dad belly better than a fitted shirt. I also like knowing I can just order a different color and know its going to fit the way I want. If you ever see me, i’m probably wearing one!

Layers are a great way to add color and dimension to your outfit. I like adding in different textures as well. Corduroy is timeless and You can wear this shirt open or buttoned up!
CRZ YOGA (lululemon dupe) hoodie
Y’all…..CRZ Yoga on Amazon is crushing it. This hoodie is a dupe of the lulu city hoodie. This has a premium feel and is very comfy. It is relaxed fit without being too tight. It is also the perfect thickness for layering a flannel or shacket over it.
Heavy-weight flannels do a nice job as an overshirt/shacket because they have more structure. I would order a size down for this one. Again this is where you can be more adventurous in patterns and textures.
